Hello There
A content marketer who's been putting off his own blog for years finally sits down to write. Here's who I am, what this is, and what it definitely won't be.

👋🏻 Hi. I'm Joe.
I've been putting off doing my own writing for years. I know — bad look for a content marketer. But hey, life is busy, and it's a lot easier to tell other people's stories than to sit down and figure out what you actually want to say.
But here we are.
Quick background: I'm a content strategist and storyteller with about a decade in marketing. I started out wanting to be a journalist, took a detour into self-employment, and somewhere along the way realized that telling stories for brands scratched the same itch. I'm currently Head of Content at Socure, a dad of two, and when I'm not writing, editing, or chasing the kids, I'm either cooking dinner, smoking some wings, or yelling at the Colts or Pacers on TV.
What this will be
Honest, mostly. Maybe a little disorganized. Sometimes I'll write about content strategy or storytelling — the craft of it, the frustrations of it, the occasional thing I figured out that actually worked. Sometimes I'll write about leadership, or parenting, or something I read that I can't stop thinking about. Sometimes maybe all three in one post (stay tuned for that one).
The throughline is that I'm genuinely interested in what makes things work — stories, teams, ideas, recipes, toddler bedtime routines. If something's rattling around in my head long enough to become a post, it probably connects back to that somehow.
What this won't be
Preachy. I'm not here to tell you how to live or work or think. You're not going to find a content tips listicle designed to game an algorithm, or a weekly dispatch about how AI is coming for all of our jobs.
This is just me, thinking out loud, in a space I actually own.
Talk soon.
