You do not need to use your legal name when creating a comment account. The display name, profile photo, and comments you choose to submit may be visible publicly.

Your email address will not be displayed publicly as part of your comments.

The website uses Supabase to provide comment accounts, authentication, profile information, and comment functionality.

When you create an account, Supabase may process information such as:

  • your profile photo, if provided

  • login and authentication information

  • account confirmation information

  • comments and account activity

  • technical, security, and diagnostic information

You may receive an email asking you to confirm your account.

You may delete your account or comments using the available account controls. You may also contact us at privacy@joetacosik.com for assistance.

How We Use Information

We may use the information we collect to:

  • respond to questions, messages, and work inquiries

  • evaluate potential client engagements

  • communicate with current or prospective clients

  • operate and maintain the website

  • create and manage comment accounts

  • display comments and profile information selected by users

We will not use the submission of a general contact or work inquiry, by itself, as consent to receive a recurring marketing newsletter.

Unsubscribing from marketing emails will not prevent us from sending necessary account, service, inquiry, or transaction-related messages.

  • Framer, for website hosting, website operation, and form submissions

  • Supabase, for comment accounts, authentication, profiles, and comments

  • Google Analytics, for website analytics

  • Google Workspace, for email and business communications

  • an email distribution provider, such as beehiiv, if you subscribe to marketing emails

  • technical, security, legal, accounting, or professional service providers as reasonably necessary

These providers may process information on our behalf or under their own terms and privacy policies.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to:

  • comply with a law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or legal process

  • protect our rights, property, users, or the public

  • investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of our policies

  • complete a merger, acquisition, sale, restructuring, or transfer involving all or part of the business

Sale of Personal Information

We do not sell or rent personal information.

We also do not knowingly share personal information with third parties for their own independent direct-marketing purposes.

Google Analytics and similar services may use cookies or identifiers to measure website activity. Depending on the laws that apply in a visitor’s location, some forms of analytics or advertising-related data sharing may receive broader legal definitions.

We do not currently use the website to run targeted advertising.

You may also delete your comment account or comments through the available account controls.

California Residents

California residents may have privacy rights under applicable California law, including rights relating to access, correction, deletion, and the sale or sharing of personal information.

Throughline Marketing, LLC may not currently meet the thresholds that make every provision of the California Consumer Privacy Act applicable. We will nevertheless consider reasonable privacy requests and respond as required by applicable law.

We do not sell personal information.

Information about California privacy rights and applicable business obligations is available from the California Privacy Protection Agency. 

Non-U.S. Visitors

The website is operated from Indiana in the United States.

If you access the website from another country, your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.

Privacy laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live. Where applicable, we process personal information for purposes such as:

The website is not directed toward children under 13.

COPPA applies both to services directed toward children under 13 and to certain operators with actual knowledge that they are collecting personal information from a child under 13.
